GOVERNOR

If you don’t already know the name Governor, this very talented and multi dimensional singer is going hard to change that, quickly. At the present time, Governor is featured in the new video and hit single by 50 cent “Do You Think About Me” for which he has been on tour, as well as appeared alongside 50 on late night talk shows with Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon .
On “Still Here” Governor’s new mixtape hosted by Sinister Shan of the Firemen Dj’s, Governor shows you what all the talk is about. The material boasts production largely from Dr Dre (yes that Dr Dre) and a cameo from 50 Cent, however it is Governor who shines throughout this project. Governor’s ability to seamlessly flow in and out of different tracks, with different types of beats, styles and subjects shows why Governor is truly one to look out for in 2010.
On “Bring The Music back” Governor shows that he is a true music purist, reflecting on the current state of music and his desire to bring that soul back to the game. On “Uncut” he shares the light with 50 Cent, showing his raw and edgy style and sending a very clear message that the streets aint no joke, nor is Governor the one to play games with. On “Picture In My Mind” Governor gives you yet another dimension, that traditional quiet storm type of R&B giving the ladies what they need to unwind after a long day.
Governor’s style is a throwback blend of old school soul meets the streets. His content is thought provoking and nostalgic, with a slick delivery not yet seen in today’s genre of soul singers. On “Still Here” Governor shows his range, his depth and his ability to just let loose and give you that fire. This mixtape bangs plain and simple, and sends a very clear and direct message to the world, Governor is here and you need to know his name.
